Brooke Humphreys, M.A., LPCC
I’m Brooke, and I’d love to help you move forward in your life. In our work together, you can count on me being real, and that I’ll help you feel safe to do the same. We’ll talk about what is keeping you up at night and your deepest desires for yourself and your relationships. I am committed to being present with you each and every time we meet—you deserve to finally be heard.
What gets me excited is helping people find their path, their voice, and excitement about themselves both as an individual and in relationship with others. I love seeing people’s perspectives shift from feeling alone to recognize the common threads in life—that all of us need to be loved, and that we connect best through sharing our vulnerability and taking risks to love and to live.
I feel honored to hear my clients’ stories, and to be let in on their deepest needs, wounds, pain, and desires. From these places, some of the most beautiful experiences, connections, and relationships can flourish. Facilitating growth, change, healing, and connection for others is one of the most fulfilling opportunities I have each day in my work at Colorado Counseling Center.
Coming from a big family, I learned how to navigate the complexities of family life, and to find my own voice. Through many personal experiences, I understand that life is hard at times, and that grief can be overwhelming. I’ve also experienced the incredible transformation that happens when I do the scariest thing—when I vulnerably share who I really am with others. Here is where I have found the connection and safety I have been looking for.
I have the heart to help you heal, the courage to help you realize your true self, and the experience to help you transform your life. I’m committed to helping you connect to the people you love the most.

Counseling for Couples
You wonder why you don’t connect like you used to, and whether you’re enough—or too much—for your partner. You wish you knew how to reclaim the love that brought you together, and that it didn’t feel like so much work to feel close.
The ways you’ve tried to cope aren’t working anymore. You’ve tried to work harder. You’ve tried to placate your partner while hiding your needs. Most days you just try to keep moving, keep it together, and hope that something will change… someday.
You know that if you do nothing, nothing will change. You know it’s time to do something different and get support. It’s felt too empty for too long. You don’t want to abandon hope, and you’re tired of numbing out, arguing, or being ignored. You can’t let another year go by feeling so distant and alone in your relationship—you’re ready for real change, and to feel like you’re in this together.
Just imagine feeling confident in your love for each other again. What if you could trust and love your partner freely? What if your love felt natural and wonderful again?
This is where I come in—I’d love to help you reclaim warmth, trust, and safety in your relationship. I’d love to help you relax with each other, so you can talk freely and feel relaxed in being yourself—just like you used to. I love helping couples learn how to get close again.

Grief & Loss Counseling
Grief and loss can be so painful. Loss can come in so many forms:
- Death of a loved one
- Illness or medical diagnosis
- Loss of a relationship
When you go through such a painful loss, it’s common to feel stuck in your grief, unable to move forward. It’s harder now to connect with others, and you feel isolated and alone. It’s hard to make sense of what you’ve lost—sometimes you feel numb, and other times you’re terribly sad or angry about what happened. Although you try to put on a good face for others, inwardly you wonder if you’ll always feel this sad and alone.
Just imagine feeling like yourself again, more whole and peaceful. Imagine being able to breathe more easily, and to wake up looking forward to the day. What if—with the right support—you could feel connected again, and feel like there’s real meaning in life?
Through compassionate and supportive grief counseling, I can help you move forward with your life without forgetting what’s important. I can help you build confidence and direction, and establish or strengthen relationships that are meaningful and fulfilling.
In addition to many personal experiences of grief and loss, I’ve helped many others navigate these really dark times. I get the panic and shock that you feel. I understand the overwhelming power of grief—how it can convince you that life will never move forward again. It’s paralyzing.
I want to come alongside you in the realness of this—and together we can sift through the many pieces and start to help you heal. I’ll be there to guide you through the whole process. I’ll help you find safety, security, connection, and confidence. The losses of life are best healed in the company of others who care and understand. I’d love to support you on your journey.
Even though you’ll never forget what you’ve lost, life is still worth living. Start going in a new direction today. Scheduling is easy—simply click the button below, or give us a call.
“To love someone fiercely, to believe in something with your whole heart, to celebrate a fleeting moment in time, to fully engage in a life that doesn’t come with guarantees—these are risks that involve vulnerability and often pain. But I’m learning that leaning into the discomfort of vulnerability teaches us how to live with joy, gratitude, and grace.”
